Cafe's Upcoming Asian New Year's Celebration - Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Beginning Monday January 27, 2011 the Cafe will be celebrating the Asian New Year - the year of the Rabbit.  The Cafe will be providing an assortment of Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and Japanese dishes.  There is a big possibility of a Sushi Bar kicking off our assortments of fresh-made sushi entrees in the Cafe.  There will be free desserts, music, displays, decorations and food demonstrations.

Cafe's Donation to Women's Family Center

During the Holidays 2010 the Cafe had donated several food packages to the San Leandro Women's and Children's Shelter.  The Cafe is committed to serving the local community by donating time, food and funds as much as possible.  In March 2011 - I will be donating time as the Kitchen Manager for the annual Rooftop Elementary School Auction and fundraiser.  At this event the school's PTA raises approximately $125,000 each year for extra activities and supplies.

Coffee and Food Price Increases

Dear Valued Customers:

Coffee and food prices continue to rise 10% - 15% due to a number of reasons - wheat and grain prices, transportation and price for coffee, for example is now at 13 year high.  Given the weak economy and challenges of everyone's budget the Cafe know this is not good news.  The Cafe has been trying to absorb as much of the increases as we can.  Unfornately we find it necessary to increase the prices of coffee, salads and entrees effective Feburary 1, 2011.
